Lo que dicen estos números

El dip solo se ve después. El día del mínimo nadie sabía que era el mínimo: ese día las noticias eran malas y la mayoría vendía. Por eso "comprar en el dip" suena fácil mirando el gráfico hacia atrás y es casi imposible hacia adelante.

Comprar en el pico duele más de lo que parece. Quien entró en el máximo del último año en bitcoin, ethereum o plata todavía va perdiendo entre un cuarto y la mitad. Y en el pico también todos estaban eufóricos.

Lo que separa a los dos casos es el plan, no la puntería. Quien compra una cantidad fija cada mes (aportes periódicos) compra algo en el pico, algo en el dip y mucho en el medio: nunca acierta el mínimo, pero nunca se come el máximo solo. Y quien mira a un año en empresas que ganan dinero (Apple, Nvidia, AMD) tuvo mejor resultado que quien persiguió el activo de moda.

AMD es la excepción que engaña. Casi +200 % desde su mínimo hace que todo parezca obvio. Un caso así en nueve no es una estrategia; es la razón por la que la gente cree que la próxima vez le tocará a ella.
